Donald Lee Hackley of Gainesville died Wednesday at Shands at AGH. He was 59.
Mr. Hackley was born in Ithaca, N.Y., and moved here from Glen Gardener, N.J., in 2002. He was a respiratory therapist.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal for his war service.
He was a graduate of New York University. He was a Protestant.
Survivors include a daughter, Janell Johnson of Gainesville; a brother, Leon Hackley of Granda Hills, Calif.; a sister, Judy Van Dermark of Ithaca; and his companion, Sandy Bosin of Gainesville.
