Carol died peacefully at home Feb 15, 2021 following multiple strokes, her family at her side. She was born and raised in Ithaca, NY by her parents Martha and Alexander Cheney.
Among her many accomplishments were three Cornell degrees and raising 11 children with her husband John. She was well-known for her personality, which she had a lot of! People loved and respected Carol for her strength, boundless energy, infinite supply of opinions, keen intelligence, and her passionate love for her family to whom she dedicated her life.
Carol is survived by her devoted husband, two sisters, ten of her children and all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
