He is survived by his wife, Verlene S. Van Amber, and a son, Brian J. Van Amber of Fullerton.
Services: 3 p.m. today, First Congregational Church of Escondido, 1800 N. Broadway, Escondido.
Interment: Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside.
Arrangements: Alhiser-Comer Mortuary.
