EDMOND, Okla. – Linda Louise Leagans Sutcliffe, 44, formerly of Ithaca, died Wednesday, June 1, 1988, in Edmond, Okla., after a short illness.
She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. S. Paul Leagans of Raleigh, N.C., who are former residents of Ithaca.
Mrs. Sutcliffe's father was a professor in the graduate school of education at Cornell University's Department of Agriculture for many years.
She was a librarian in the Oklahoma state library system for eight years.
As well as being survived by her parents, Mrs. Sutcliffe is survived by her husband, Dr. John E. Sutcliffe; a daughter, Heather Sutcliffe; a son, John Sutcliffe, all of Edmond, Okla.; two brothers John Leagans of Rosemont, Pa. and William Leagans of Glen Ellyn, Ill.
A memorial service was held in Edmond, on Monday, June 6, her birthday.
