Veronica B. "Vickie" Griffin, 54, of 205 Mary Lane, Ithaca, NY died Wednesday, December 17, 1997 at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY after a long illness. Vickie was born October 16, 1943 in England, a daughter of Beryl Howlett Reeves of Ithaca and the late Frank Reeves. She was graduated from Ithaca High School in the class of 1962 and was employed years ago at Agway and more recently at Cornell University, Dept. of Human Development and Family Studies. She was a Past District Deputy Grand Matron of the Cayuga-Tompkins Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and was a member and Past Matron of Magnetic Springs Chapter #557, O.E.S
Survivors include her mother, Beryl Howlett Reeves of Ithaca; two sons, Kevin M. (Alene) Griffin of Dryden and Michael C. Griffin of Ithaca; a brother Bruce E. (Andrea) Reeves of Syracuse; three sisters, Rosemary (Bruce) Manley of Danby, Susan Reeves-Aeid of Dansville, NY, Ruth A. (Charles) Crayton of Freeville; a grandson, Colby M. Griffin of Dryden; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Saturday, December 20, 1997 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. David H. Nicholls officiating. Burial in Frear Memorial Park will be delayed. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM Friday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY. Memorials may be made to the Islet and Transplant Research Fund, Health Science Center Foundation, 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
