Dinah M. (Wilczak) Collins Age 78 of Ithaca passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward, and Esther Wilczak. Also, her dearly beloved Son, Edward Joseph Collins and a Sister Dolores Thompson. Dinah is survived by numerous friends and acquaintances. Also, her caregivers, Stephen and Lori Sedlock of Ithaca, Her Herson Wagner Family, Art Webb. Christin Greven, Rob Longo, Gary Bordoni and Amos Malone. Two Grandchildren, Shelby, and Ethan Collins of Florida. Also, many cousins. Her dear friends and neighbors, Matt and Taylor Fellman who did so much for her.

Dinah belonged to many service clubs and organizations, Including, Ithaca Elks Club, Knights of Columbus, Ithaca Eagles Club, American Legion (Trumansburg) and the Ithaca Moose Club. She also was a past board member of GIAC. Dinah was an Associate of The Sisters of Mercy (Rochester) which helped her live out her strong Catholic faith. She was a lifelong devoted member of The Immaculate Conception Church in Ithaca and having volunteered in many functions while serving out her faith. She was a past parish council member, a eucharistic minster and gave so much time to the church’s food pantry, where she made numerous friends. She had also sung in the resurrection choir.

Dinah was a fiercely independent woman who took great pride in doing things her own way. She had worked for many different companies throughout her lifetime and most recently she was a long-time employee of the Herson Wagner Funeral Home for many years, having worked up until her illness. Dinah will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and that personality that came with her.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 4-7 Pm at the Herson Wagner Funeral Home 110 S. Geneva St. Ithaca N.Y. Due to restoration work a mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, 10:30 A.M. at St. Catherine of Sienna Church 309 Sienna Dr. Ithaca N.Y. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, next to her parents. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Dinah’s memory to Cancer Resource Center of The Finger Lakes 612 W. State St. Ithaca N.Y.
