Iva Aiken Obituary

Iva May (Hughes) Aiken, 81, a long-time resident of West Dryden, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at Cortland Hospital with her son Michael by her side. Born October 27, 1943, in Ithaca NY. Iva graduated from Ithaca High School in 1962, the Saturday after graduation, she married the love of her life, David Aiken. They shared 47 years of marriage before David’s passing in 2009.

Iva’s greatest joy was her grandchildren. She loved spending time with family and friends and will be remembered for the amazing pies and cakes she made.

Iva is survived by her son Michael (Paula) and daughter Dawn (Scott). Grandchildren Ashlee, Paul, Danielle, Randy, Ryan, Aaron, Dalton, Dakota, Daniel, Darcey, Daisy and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Della Lovelace, Carol Dow, and Margaret Chilson.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 30, 11am-1pm, with service immediately following at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St, Dryden NY 13053.
