Classmate Info

Use this section to...
(1) enter your Profile, (2) find out about your classmates, and (3) communicate with them. This is a secure area, so usernames and passwords are involved. Want help? Contact Diana Buckingham at mamabuck@twcny.rr.com.

(1) Enter your Profile for the first time:
a) If you are new to this area, click the "Add Your Profile" button.
b) Create a Username and Password and enter them. Then write them down.
c) Fill in the rest of the form and enter the security code at the bottom. If you don't fill in the security code correctly, you will have at least one more chance to enter it.
d) Diana will add your Yearbook photo to your Profile. If you want to add a current photo, send a .jpg/.gif or other photo media to Diana by attaching it to an e-mail.

(2) How To update your Profile:
a) If you already have a Profile, then retrieve it using the search function, and click the "Edit Your Profile" button.
b) The system will ask you for your Username and Password. If you forgot them, click on the "I forgot my username and password" button. You will receive an e-mail within a couple of minutes containing the two items. Write them down again.
c) Update your Profile and save it.

(3) Helpful things to know:
a) If you don't want to mess with Usernames and Passwords, send your information to Diana Buckingham (mamabuck@twcny.rr.com) with a note saying: "I don't want to mess with this, but I want to share some information." Diana will then enter your info for you.
b) If you want to see where classmates now live, click on the "Where are they now" button.
c) Use the "Send This Person A Message" button to send an e-mail to a specific person. You can only use it to contact one person at a time.

What have you been doing for the past 50 years?: Graduated from Cortland in'66,married in '66, taught K in Onondaga Central Schools for 2 years, had a son....in 1969, moved to Ithaca for husband's PhD at Cornell. I taught preschool in Freeville for 5 of those years, (had 3 more children 1 son, 2 daughters), got my masters in early childhood from Cortland and in '77 we moved to Sandusky, Ohio where we had another daughter. In 1984 we moved to Alaska (supposedly for 2-5 years.) I have been teaching here since we arrived... preschool, Headstart, K, 1, or 2. So 28 years later, we are still here. The kids are now in L.A., Friday Harbor (San Juan Islands off coast of Washington,)and in Alaska: Anchorage, Hope, and Denali.

What have you been doing for the past 50 years?: Cornell '66; worked in Hartford CT 'til drafted in '68; U.S. Army 'til '70, worked in New York City 'til '75, in Philadelphia 'til '83, in Wilmington DE 'til '92 and back to New York 'til retirement in '07. Lived in New Hope, PA through all these job moves since 1971. Two beautiful daughters who now live in Mexico. Wife died in 2002; remarried in 2007. Through the late '70s the family was involved with foreign exchange student programs. Through the '80s we were extensively (and expensively) involved in equestrian sports. In the '90s until 2002, we wintered in Mexico and summered in Maine. In 2010, moved to Austin, TX to be closer to our growing family of grandchildren.
Comments: Our 50th Reunion - yes, 50 years since Mr. Bliss, et al - is virtually around the corner. Can you ever recall sitting in 'homeroom' sometime in 1962 thinking that 50 years from now you would be celebrating your 50th high school reunion? I don't think I ever thought about it, but here it is! I hope you are as energized as I am to make our 50th Reunion unforgettable.

What have you been doing for the past 50 years?: Married in '64, built new house in '77. Have been working in accounting at several local businesses and then on to Cornell and retired in 1/06. Love to travel (visit family in Germany, river cuises in Europe,etc.) and spend some of the cold months in FL.
Love spending time with grandkids, family and friends. Love to work in the flower garden, read and do more taveling.
