What have you been doing for the past 50 years?:
After graduating from college I taught hs English for 2 years and then married Joe and did other types of work for a brief period. Then I went back to teaching until our first daughter, Julie was born. Sarah followed shortly after, then Tom, and I was fortunate and happy to be home with them. When Tom was in 1st grade I went to work as a teaching assistant at his school, where I am still happily employed. He has been out of first grade for 23 years. We currently live in a wonderful house that Joe built in the hills outside of Albany,NY. I love it here, and Joe does too, when he can get here. He is currently building a house near Montpelier, VT for Julie and her family, and is finishing up as construction manager of a $40 million transer station at the Fresh Kills landfill on Staten Island. Both projects are nearing completion and should allow him some breathing time and time at home. I have two incredibly adorable and wonderful grandchildren, and love playng grammie and spoiling them. Until you have grandkids you can't begin to imagine what a fabulous joy they bring to life. Now that I've filled you all in, I'll just have to step back and listen when we all get together at the 45th. Should be wonderful. I may talk anyway... |
